Wills, trusts and the elderly

Management of personal affairs is a specialist service.

At Oglethorpe and Broatch we have a department which brings a high level of expertise to address people’s needs in administration of the affairs of elderly or infirm persons who, for whatever reason, are unwilling or unable to manage on their own.
In preparing wills and powers of attorney we provide comprehensive advice to those who wish to make proper provision for their families and dependants. We consider with you your financial circumstances, your commitments and the possibility of taxation consequences. And when the time comes, we act for those left behind with efficiency as well as sympathy.

A trust may arise under the provisions of a will or intestacy which could last many years. Our experienced team will advise on the consequences of the trust, the responsibilities of the trustees and the rights of the beneficiaries of the trust, as well as the day-to-day administration of the trust assets.
